Version 0.3.1, More Systems More Problems


Minor changes:

  • Fixed web version particle stutter
  • Removed useless quit button on web version
  • Added an update checker for the downloadable version. Going forward, outdated versions of the game will notify the user an update is available
  • Fixed a crash caused by a turn start signal being sent to a stale enemy reference
  • Bandaid fix for combat loop instability. Monsters will no longer move less than intended or deal more damage than intended. Unusual behavior from starting multiple battles can still occur.
  • Fixed enemy collision not being properly disabled when hidden
  • Added highlighted words to Cirana's dialogue
  • Feast attack now properly restores calories
  • The camera will now scroll with Cirana in test level 1 and 2
  • Fixed cake monster health always being the base value, test level 3 monsters now have slightly more health
  • Added a new encounter to test level 3 for debugging mid-battle cutscenes.
  • Updated devlog
  • Unpacked assets from the exe for the downloadable version. This shouldn't change anything except for how the game is patched.

Known major issues:

  • The game will hard lock if you get a game over and start a cutscene at the same time. Try not to be KO'd from overfill damage in test level 3!
  • Multiple dialogue boxes can be trigger and interrupt each other which is not intended
  • Monsters occasionally move before Cirana and Cirana's AP and MOV aren't restored for the first turn of a battle
  • The pause button is inaccessible while a dialogue box is open
  • The combat logic doesn't pause when a cutscene occurs. Contrary to what Cirana says, talking is NOT a free action
